As is the case with all glaciers, this one is showing the impacts of climate change. According to National Geographic magazine, deforestation also plays a part, reducing moisture in the air, therefore the cloud cover. The higher temperatures increase the number of forest fires, creating a devastating cycle.

A Mobile Unit for Disaster Preparedness
In 2005, after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, World Water & Solar Technologies Corporation created the prototype of the Mobile MaxPure™ product to provide clean water and electricity for thousands of people affected by the disaster. For an eight month period of need, the original mobile MaxPure™ unit successfully served the community of Waveland, Mississippi, producing approximately 350,000 gallons of clean, potable water and 2500 kilowatt hours of solar electricity used for emergency power.
The Mobile MaxPure™ unit’s unique ability to perform as a reliable, self-sustaining power generation unit with water purification, pumping and communications capabilities makes it an extremely versatile package.
